re my post "replaced turbo and still same fault"
is it possable that a driping or leaking injector or several injectors could cause the engine to rev up to full bore and then eventialy die down again ,only to repeat the cycle,
any thoughts on this would very welcome.

had this once on my old deisel motor got injectors serviced and it whent away,,incorrect jetting or somut they said

If you have a leaking injector then the engine should not rev up, just smoke a lot.
To make the engine rev you need air.
I would say either, you are getting air into the system or the pump timing is faulty.
