I have a Piaggio Porter diesel van (1.4)- i have been told that its the same as a Daihatsu van.

The van runs fine EXCEPT every now and then it makes a 'funny rattle' noise and throws loads of blue smoke out of the exhaust!
I can generally guess when its gonna happen because it seems to speed up for a second or so before it happens.

Once again, it s diesel van and its only a 56 reg - had its first MOT last.

I have been unable to find a good diesel mechanic, or garage ANYWHERE in the UK......surely someone out there can help....

Two other so called 'diesel garages' have 'had a look' but they said they dont know what causes it.
