Fourtrak rear brake query...

Forum:

Hey just bought a 1994 Fourtrak a couple weeks ago to see me through the winter and beyond maybe! Bought it cheap as its pretty rough and ready but fine for what i was after. Anyway, after a whole day of ownership i broke the rear crossmember which sheared a brake line too, just fixed the crossmember today and removed the old solid brake line to replace with a new one, my question is though, and this may sound stupid, but is there only meant to be 1 bleed nipple on the rear?! I have one on my rear passenger side, but nothing on the drivers rear, are they both on the same circuit? Honestly know nothing about these 4x4's so steep learning curve ahead!! Aside from the brake line it will hopefully be roadworthy again soon Smile

if you look there joined both

if you look there joined both sides with one mains inlet, one outlet----to other side one inlet, one bleed nipple, all you need, nothing complicated it works.

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

think you should give this

think you should give this vehicle a really good check over as far as corrosion goes as there could well be other rusty bits-apart from that-enjoy!

There are plenty rusty bits

There are plenty rusty bits dont worry haha! Holes in the arches etc and the sills have been "repaired" with newspaper and fibreglass... i have a welder and fix rust for a living so not bothered about putting a bit of work into it!! Got the brake lines replaced, just need to bleed them now but got all the bleed nipples cracked open so just need a spare 2 minutes when its not raining!
