Hi,
The hubs on my '93 TDX seem to be malfunctioning; after reversing, when I move off, there is a clonking noise from the off-side (for about 15ft). I've jacked it up and the near side hub is locked and the off side is free so I assume that the noise is the free hub trying to lock as the half-shaft is turned by the other wheel. A previous owner of the car tells me to remove the end plate and fill the hubs with grease. Unfortunately the heads of the bolts that hold the caps on appear to be made from cheese and I can't turn any of them. Is there a way round this or do I have to drill all twelve of them?

Thanks, they came out easily
Thanks, they came out easily and are now replaced with proper allen screws. I'm a blacksmith and have a shed full of fairly brutal tools. It's always worrying dismantling something when you've no idea what's inside but like one of those chinese boxes, it will only go back together the right way: or I was lucky.
