hi ,i have a daihatsu fourtrack fieldman preg [96]
i need some advice lads ,ive got 2 transponder keys and both are cracked half way
up so dont want to use in the ignition incase of snaping, i do have a key with no trasponder on it [all metal] that will start the engine if one of the transponder keys are next to it when starting the engine, my question is i have bought a daihatsu fob blank that fits in the locks ,is cutting the key a daihatsu job or
can a local key cutter do this and can i break open 1 of the other transponder key fobs and place the chip it into the new one

Key Cutting and Transponder Chip
I enquired at my local car accessory shop about having a spare transponder key cut for my 1999 Fourtrak TDX. I was told, "No problem, just bring the key in, and we'll do it while you wait".

They wil supply the key, and cut it if you have the key number.
And can clone (copy the chip from your key and copy onto the new one)

hi thanks bought a key from ebay and gave them the cutting code
and removed the transponder chip and placed it in the new key
£18 all done

Timpsons, the High Street key
Timpsons, the High Street key and shoe people did mine, taking a blank, reading my old key, and cloning the data onto the blank. They had some kind of chip reading gadget.
