wondering if anyone can help me out. I boughta sportrak with hard and soft top last year. I have come to try and put the soft top on for summer only to find it looks baggy when in place. i have looked at a manual and it looks like im doing it right. it looks like there should be another bar holding it up tight, but the soft top was bought complete. am i doing something stupidly wrong??? i have not seen one soft top on a sportrak anywhere since i bought it over a year ago.. help me !!!
your soft top fitting
i recently bought a sportrak which came with both soft & hard top. the soft top was alrealdy fitted at the time but was in the down position. i drove home decided to put the top up as it looked as rain was likely. just as youv'e described, i was looking at it and thought "that can't be right!it looks really baggy" after lots of fiddling it was just the placement of a bar. its already attached to the black tubular frame and instead of lying flat down against back of the car it pushes up towards the roof and gives the top rear part of soft top baggy bit the support it needs. simple as that! i won't say how long it took me but i felt a bit silly afterwards for not noticing such an obvious thing.
