Yes it is possible to fit a V
Yes it is possible to fit a V-Ribbed Drive Belt to a Materia without removing the engine.
My Materia's aircon compressor had seized and as a result of it seizing the 6 rib belt snapped.
I decided to fit a shorter belt by bypassing the aircon compressor which is no longer available.
A garage told me that a Materia belt is adjusted using sliding idler pulleys.
To adjust my Materia belt the adjustment is carried out using the alternator.
The belt type I used is a 6PK1490.
