changing the timing belt

basically i have just acquired my dihatsu an am lost as i do not have a manual. i am wanting to change the timing belt but i am not aure about the way you go about it. can anybody help me with this problem.

Method as in www.daihatsu-drivers.co.uk/node/81 for procedure and a picture. However its a bit tight for sighting alignment. I removed the front bumper, grill and radiator. Job takes a little longer but proves more accurate for viewing the alignment. Also gives a chance to thoroughly flush the radiator and water system.
The alignment marks are sometimes missing so before removing the old belt count the belt-ribs between the pulleys.Refit with same belt-rib count. Keep it at TDC on compression stroke etc.
