I have a 1991 Sportrak ELi and a 1996 Sportrak Anjou. The 1991 I have owned for 12 years and has been the most reliable car I have ever owned hence the addition of the Anjou. Both cars were exported from the UK and now reside here in France. Parts are plentiful on EBAY and so they are now quite cheap to maintain. LHD headlights for the facelift ANJOU are expensive @ €517 a pair whilst the older type can be obtained from Italy for abourt €120 including P&P.

Problems have been few although the rear axles tend to whine a bit and the cats on both rattle. Unfortunately the 1991 car has been registered as a 1995 in France so both Cats have to remain in place

These are good comfy cars both on road and off but are not for the boy racer types. They will tow quite a weight as long as you dont try to push them and accept that the 1598cc petrol engine is limited by it's size ad power.

I would recommend a Sportrak to anyone and both have earnt their cost over and over again and owe me nowt. They are now so cheap that one can be picked upfor so little and provide years of good service. OK there are exceptions I'm sure but both of mine have been 100%
