I have a 94 fourtrak rocky that has sloppy steering, It wanders a bit and is vauge on the steering wheel for about 10 degrees or so. Are there bushes that have worn somewhere or is there some way of tightening things up? Its not too drastic but ruins an otherwise nice ride.

Power or manual steering? Either way, it doesnt really matter. Apart from the obvious checks, tie rod ends-ball joints-wheel bearings, there is an adjustment that can be made to the steering box. Look on top of the box, you will see a bolt with a slotted head, and a locknut. Hold the bolt with a large screwdriver, and undo the locknut. Now, screw the bolt inwards, while having a mate wiggle the steering back and forth. Tighten the locknut when your happy with the steering. This takes the freeplay out of the steering box.
