Hi
I recently brought a 2.8 td intercooler 1991 import.
The chassis no. f71 etc. The log book says its a two axle riged body estate.
can anyone throw any light on this as its a short wheelbase. Any other information about this model would be realy appreciate.
By the way realy good site.
Thanks tony c

I would pay no attention whatsoever to the DVLA's descriptions - That twin axle rigid body gets applied to allsorts, and it's termed an estate as it's a 'Two-Box' design....That means that manufacturers refer to bonnet, body & boot as a 'box'. You don't have a boot, and before lines got blurred with MPV's and all that, anything a few years old gets the estate tag.

Tony, With regards Rockys (Fourtraks) the F7x 4wd's were all Diesels. Have a look at this post I put up from a few months ago, it explains the different codes for Rockys and Fourtraks.

In addition to this info, the F70/80 and F75/85 came in both soft top and resin tops. I also know there were LWB all steel roofed versions, the model designation is unknown to me.
