Hi my name is Bill Magreevy I have a 1992 Diahatsu Rocky SE with a 1.6 liter engine. I have not been able to set the timing . The only information I can find is on the 1.0 liter and 1.3 liter. I have set the timing like you would for the 1.3 liter, the engine runs smooth but I have no power. Any information would be greatly apprearcited .

I think you may have the wron
I think you may have the wronge model name there? The Rocky is normally a forign name for the Fourtrak. They only come in 2.8 Deisle and 2ltr Petrol. If Daihatsu have desided to call another moter by this name, I appologise profusly.
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

In America, Chile, and other countries around that area Daihatsu called the Sportrak Rocky, and the Fourtrak Rugger. This does lead to some confusion when people mention Rocky but nothing about its specs unless you know which country they are in. As they are talking about a 1.6 engine I assume they are talking about a Sportrak, tho could be one of the petrol engine Fourtraks, but I don't know what engine sizes that came in.

Where did you get the info.
As far as I know Daihatsu only ever did the 1.6Litre engine Rocky. Even for the US I am sure it was just the 1 engine size. Where abouts did you find the info about adjusting the timing for a 1.3litre? Can't help you too much as I am not overlly technical but I am sure someone on here will be able to help as it is probably close to being correct as it is.
