I have a Fourtrak TDX, 1998. I am considering buying a car lift, but need to convince myself that it will be able to lift a vehicle of this weight. I assume the relevent weight is the unladen weight, which I think is about 1,700 Kg. However the manual and vehicle ID plate only seems to refer to gross weight. I see many 2 post lifts rated at 2.5 ton, so this would seem to be adequate.
I would be very grateful for confirmation that I am correct before actually buying. Any advice from someone that has been through this route would also be appreciated.

Lifting Fourtrak on car lift
Hi, my fourtrak says about 2 ton on the id plate under the bonnet but, i've had it on a weigh bridge when i went to drop some scrap off and it weighed 1840kg with a small trailer so probably weighs more like 1750kg. hope this helps.
