Screeching YRV?

2003 Sirion SL 1300. And I love it.
Don't like the new shape much.

Could easily be one of the belts.

Try adjusting to the correct tension first.

May need replacing - Do they look all shiny on the wear surfaces?

This is dodgy - but you could try (With Engine Running - So be bloody carefull ok) Sad
Put chalk stick on both sides of belt when running, this will lubricate the belt and it may stop whining!

But if it does stop - This means they could do with replacing anyway.

This is an old Engine trick for belts. Watch you fingers.

I can not be responsible - You have been warned. Blum 3

But if car is Auto . Could be in box. Ouch !! Blush

2003 Sirion Rally 4. And I love it.
Don't like the new shape Sirion much.Sorry.

Cheers guys that narrows it

Cheers guys that narrows it down a bit, luckily the car is still under warranty just did`nt want to take it back with no clue as to what was going on..So again THANKS Smile

Sounds like the Serpentine

Sounds like the Serpentine belt, the Daihatsu YRV loaner car I usually end up with when mines in for it's Bi-annual service @ the garage did this. Had my serpentine belt changed on it's second service for piece of mind more than anything else. Should cure the problem you describe.
