its leaking between the

its leaking between the master cylinder and the servo,i`ll pinch the 2 bolts up first just incase there is a gasket inbetween, otherwise its a new master cylinder..BALLS..like you said jon,,is it worth it going to synthetic, from my experiance now,I DONT THINK SO...let you know how i get on with it..

Are you really going to

Are you really going to benefit much from changing to synthetic? After all the YRV's brake setup is not exactly top notch/state of the art and unless you are racing it and looking for lower fluid boiling points etc I don't reckon there would be much difference......I may be wrong entirely. Of course the fact that the brakes are basic, could be a reason for upgrading the fluid of course. I dunno! Sounds like a load of hassle to me. Smile

Mark I hope you can cure the leak by tightening the bolts. Fingers crossed for you matey.

Hind Sight

Mark, Sorry to hear about this. I am about to have DOT5.1 synthetic brake fluid put in my car on Monday. Being looking into synthetic brake fluid and dependning on what year and what fluid you have used in the past, some of the non-synthetic brake fluid was to help lubricate the seals. Whilst to get the full benefit of synthetic you need to replace all the seals first Sad Now I am not sure about getting done after hearing about your experience.
