Daihatsu Fourtrak timing :-
has anybody replaced a timing belt on the fourtrak and had problems afterwards I have followed the instructions in the manual to the letter but the engine is still not running right. has anybody been sold the wrong timing belt by mistake. Iam getting a knocking noise it
sound's like the valves help would be welcome

Hi there,
It sounds to me like she may be out a tooth? I bet you have already done it, but have you taken the belt off and checked everything? Did you compare the new belt to the old belt? tension?
Luckly these engines are pretty bullet proof so being out a tooth should not have done any per damage.
