Possibly looking at getting a F50 back on the road, and am just wondering how easy/difficult it is to get the various parts for it. How much do they have in common with the later fourtraks in terms of their mechanicals, would it be possible to largely use bits from later models?

The engine and gearbox share many similarities with the later modles. But that's about it. And even in these places, the dissimilarities out way the similarities. I do have some (very few now) F50 bits, if you are intrested. 07710 088162.

Thanks for the information, I think for the moment the F50 as having had a further look at it I'm not sure I could realistically do anything with it and the current owner (my uncle) is relucant to part with it as he has been intending to finish it off himself. Although I have since found out that the engine has already been swopped for a 2.8 and some preparations have been made to swap the axles to fourtrack items.
