I've got an Avanzato R4 L512S

I've got an Avanzato R4 L512S and a Mira Classic L510S.

I would be well up for info sharing as I'm undoing the Avanzato of all the dodgy bodges they did to get it through SVA like the rear clusters/bumper lights. I've just rewired mine.

Here's a few tips to help Mira Classic/Avanzato owners along.

- Avanzato owners with the rubbish bumper lights: Unscrew brakelight and pull out and you'll see how it's all clipped up, all you need to do to get the main clusters working is put the clip into the brakelight cluster instead and add bulbs, 15 minute job if that!
- Avanzato owners again: What I believe to be the foglight connector is under the passenger side headlight, it's a yellow clip
- Anyone with a Mira Classic 4WD: I believe that you can use off the shelf exhaust systems designed for the L610S Move because it has the same wheelbase and EF-RL engine but I can't confirm this yet as I haven't tried
- Always let your car warm up and run down for a few minutes to give your turbo a much longer life
- Rust seems to form in the wheelarches and mounting brackets of stuff under the bonnet, keep an eye on it

I've also got two sort of mini sites, have a look?

Good set of tips you have shared mate!
Oh and not to forget, if you change the clutch , your engine and gearbox have got to come out ( as far as i know on the Avanzato ) , so its probably best to upgrade to a high performance one while your at it !
Thanks for the websites that you shared with us.
I listened to the sound clips of the turbo many times ! Got any more? Any videos UnknwSmile
Where about are you based ?!?!
And finally, do you speak Jap Biggrin

ps: every tried fitting the Classic lights on the back of the Zato Unknw Would look groovey but i dont think they would fit Unknw

I think the clutch might be o

I think the clutch might be on the way out on the Classic because it feels jerky compared to the Avanzato - you have to be very exact at where you change gear for it to be smooth - but it might just be a characteristic of the car. I'll pop an Exedy one in later on.

I've not got any more sounds at this time, I want to do video but I've nowhere good to mount a camera and I'm only really driving to and from work at this time due to the weather.

Based Wakefield (near Leeds), no Japanese but I can usually translate websites OK so I've got a good grasp of what parts are around for the Avanzato and Classic and what modifications are popular.

The usual basic mods in Japan are nearly always filter, full exhaust system and lower suspension. After that they seem to start increasing the fuelling, adding intercoolers (ARC top mount ones are popular) and turning the boost up. There's also some replacement turbo kits out there which claim to up the power to 100hp with the appropriate fuelling increase. Another mod which seems extremely popular even on barely modified cars is a grounding kit with loads of thick insulated wires all over the engine bay. These kits are said to stabilize the voltage and make the engine run smoother. I assume there's some sort of specific gain on the Mira as practically every car has them fitted. Would like more info on that.

Things to bear in mind while looking for Avanzato parts, the front wheel drive "R" (as opposed to R4) is much more well known than the R4 in Japan and a lot of parts makers don't name the R4 though parts will fit on it. So look more for the L502S (FWD) rather than the L512S (4WD) as most parts will be listed under that. All L502S engine parts should fit the L512S, but suspension parts usually won't and exhausts won't because the 4WD ones need to have a bend in them. I'm fairly certain the L502S front pads will fit the L512S OK too. There are a few blind spots in terms of parts, I've been unable to find any kind of aftermarket LSD for the R4 (there's a few for the R) and suspension parts for it are a bit thin on the ground. Other than that it is fairly well covered.

The Classic lights won't go on the later type Zato, the Zato has a different tailgate shape called "Moderno" and the brakelights are more angular. However, you'd be able to swap round the lights of prefacelift ones, any Cuore/Mira L500 where they've got the numberplate in the rear bumper including some early Zato press cars which were prefacelift (the red ones).

Hi i was looking to sort out the spring/shocks on my trxxr4 512s

I have emailed several times and had no answer! Has anyone else had luck with them?
I want to lower it and stiffen it up a bit but the tech numbers dont mean to much to me. If any one can help id be much obliged.

KYB in UK won't have it, but they might be able to order it in? Worth a shot I think.

They're called KYB New SR Special.
