Solid front axle and V6 conversion

Hello,

I'm considering converting the IFS on my '91 Sportrak/Feroza/Rocky 1.6L to a solid front axle and V6 engine. I'm pretty sure other people have done this, so if anyone has any recomendations on how to do this would be great. I have limited access to parts in the states, mostly toyota, gm, and jeep parts over here.

Thanks Nev. Actually that does help about the engine, since I was considering putting a diesel in this thing. Now I know not to. But I still have no idea what to about the front axle. A friend says a Land Cruiser axle should work.

In someone elses post on that same page is a link to a diffrant site. On the linked page is a Sporti with a V6 and a beam front axle.

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
