Now I have my 98 Fourtrak TDL, I would really like a copy of the original sales brochure (and service information) from Daihatsu, with all the specifications etc, so if anybody could help with a copy in some format it would be most helpful!
I am curious as to the different spec’s of the models, mine says on the “V5†it’s a Fieldman TDL, (I had thought the Fieldman was only available as a Van), perhaps a listing could be made for reference, with Brochure’s service books etc, in PDF format so we can all look at them…. just an idea!

Still need help with this! I was hoping someone would be able/willing to help, could really do with some info on my 98 “Fieldman†but can’t find any spec on it, you can get some info from this site on earlier ones but not the Independents, would love to know things like it’s bhp output etc, and really need to find out it’s servicing and maintenance needs, I don’t even know how to change the fuel filter! So come on chaps, and help us less informed owners out, Please!!

soz just saw ur post ive a manual for my 1994 f78 2.8turbo independant here so i'll just write what i see but some might dissagree but that'll be up to you, if you want anything specific just ask; gross vehicle weight 2,235kg, max tow capacity 3.5tonne, rear max axle weight 1,185kg. engine oil change every 3000mls filter every 6000mls capacity 6.1ltrs with filter 5.7 without.air filter cleaned every 6000mls replaced at 24000mls .fuel filter replaced every 24000mls. tyre size 255/70r15. bore x stroke 92mm x 104mm displacement 2765cc.
hope this helps a little as i said some have there own opinions like i change my oil filter and air filter together every 6000mls for example but if u use the search option on this site u'll get everyones prefferances and u can decide yourself.if attempting gearbox oil change check all posts on this as the wrong nut is a big no no although my f78 only had one on one side but all will come clear when u read posts.
as for the fuel filter there is a post just on the now giving a step by step account.

Could you let me know the Fuel tank size? Just want to know how empty the tank was before filling up, to see how accurate the fuel gauge is, if you follow!

the fuel tank capacity 60ltrs.yes the filter post was well done only thing i'd add was carefull with the wires for the sender unit on the bottom both my fourtraks wires parted company so now i just release the water at timed intervals just to be on the safe side. glad i was of help but the lads on here will keep u right and i recomend searching old forums much more information on there than any book.ps; i find fuel filter change easier with a full fuel tank parked on a downward slope did it with low tank once still got cramp in my hand from manual pumping yet never again but u learn by your mistakes
