TRY AGAIN AND TELL EVERYONE WHAT CAR AND WHAT YOUR PROBLEM IS IN SOME DETAIL.
I have removed hoses from Spotraks and never found a therostat in them which seems to be what your sentence suggests.

Thermostat
The thermostat is located in the housing at the bottom of the engine, below the power steering pump, with the radiator hose connected to the housing.
I believe that certain Toyota engines also have the thermostat at the bottom.
It makes it slightly more difficult to change, but it takes me about 10-15 mins start to finish.

That sounds logical as I was told many years back that the lump in the Sporty is a Toyota engine, badged Daihatsu.

thermostat trouble
when i bought my jeep my thermostat got stuck and overheated.no damage thank god but the mechanic,i gave it to fix for me,didnt take out the old one.i got a new one off a toyota that the shop said would fit but it didnt.the mechanic just cut the old one and put it back in.would anyone have a serial number for the thermostat so i can get it off daihatsu or even tell me which one off a toyota fits it.thanks
