My 97 Fourtrak has problems revving to the point it is undrivable.
Starting is not particularly smooth but once started will idle quite happily, then when revs are given the rev build up then begin to die off rapidly shortly before stalling build up slighty then just die.
i have checked fuel pump, which is clean and suppling good pressure. other than that i am at a loss,
Problems with the injector??

Did you happen to check the fuel filter at all? If so, then you havent bled the system fully. A search will reveal the answer to your problem.

Sounds to me like it could be the pump playing up, trouble with diesels is it can be a number of things, might be a bit of air getting sucked in from somewhere, how did you check the pump? did you have the engine turning over with the outlet pipes off before the injectors so you can actually see fuel come out, normally it will only be either the pump or air ingress, i shouldnt think it would be an injecor problem, from some past experiences i would seriously consider the pump not working correctly, we are talking about the 2.8 tdi i hope, give some details.

Re-new and then bleed all the air from the fuel filter.
