93 Fourtrak 2.8TDX I wondered if anyone else has ever has experieced a similar problem? When I indicate left the heated rear window switch light and the hazrad warning light flash at the same time as the indicators. This does not happen when I indicate right.If I put the hazard warning lights on the same happens.The indicator bulbs are all fine and I have removed all six of the indicator units to check for corrosion but with credit to Daihatsu all are virtually as new.The last time I encounteed a similar problem was on a Cortina and that was due to a poor earth return from the rear lights.I am now going to test all the rear wiring as I still suspect a poor earth connection somewhere is to blame.
Earth to Earth
Suggest using a long cable directly from the negative terminal of the battery, directly to the earth of the light unit; if this solves the problem you know for certain it is an earth fault.
Had a similar problem, it was the cables chafing under the dashboard where someone had attacked the wiring loom and not fastened it back up correctly.

Thanks assassin for the advice, I 'll try the battery lead idea.I noted your comment about cables chaffing under the dashboard and I think the same electrician worked on our vehicle as yours!Under the dash is not very pretty, mainly a result of after market fitting of the alarm, foglights and tow pack.Thanks once again for the advice.
