hi all i have a 1999 s reg fourtrak, could someone please tell me if it has a belt or chain, the owner said it was chain but someone else has said its belt, are they all the same or do they differ. thanks in advance

Hi, i am 99.9 % sure that it will be a belt, i assume we are talking about the lovely 2.8 tdi unit, the DL 50 and DL51 engines are belts, not sure what engine yours is but look at the plaque inside the engine bay and it will tell you your engine number, but i can guarantee its belt and if im wrong im wrong
