Please help, im missing my heater, its to cold on my bike!;-)
Many thanks.
Well, I'm sorry but do you
Well, I'm sorry but do you want the bad news or the bad news???
First up, you have fried your ECU. You have also almost certainly taken out some of the relays, possibly the fuel pump, and to top it all the relay on top of the fuel rail. When you look for spares, don't forget the ECU is different on the facelift models (i.e yours).

maybe it can be fixed....
Car electronics are designed to take serious abuse such as reverse polarity, load dump and voltage spikes, so I wouldn't assume the various ECU's are fried until you can prove this is so.
I would check out the electrics very systematically; eg:
Turn on ignition, does the starter solenoid 'click'
if no click, is the imobilisor blown, fuse blown?
if click heard, battery is probably flat beyond repair
If starter turns, but engine does not start, look for fuses blown in fuelling / ignition systems.
connect ignition test lamp to a spark plug lead to test for spark energy
listen for fuel pump 'whine'
etc etc

Main fuses
Two fuses are inline and sit alongside the 12v battery. Both are main fuses. Check each.
Wiring ciruits are on the w/s CD. I have a copy on CD but probably also available on this web site.
Exact Same Problem
Hi,
My dad did the exact same thing just before Christmas and I only got around to looking at it today. I checked all the fuses and nothing was blowen so thought he had killed it :-(.
As it turned out I spoted another inline fuse on the positive cable of the battery. Opened this one up and got that lovely burning smell you get when you have fried something electrical :-).
I went to a local car shop and they gave me a new inline fuse unit with a 30AMP fuse (The manual says bring the car stright to the dealer). I cut away the old unit as it was completly cooked and soldered in the new one. Taped everything up and she started first go. Everything is working fine and no more problems. I would be sure you have the same problem so take a look and see.
Best of luck!!
