BOUNCING NEEDLE ON SPEEDO

Does anybody know how to fix the bouncing speedo on a Daihatsu Cuore?
Just bought one this morning...and looking to get a few things sorted.

Grease plus oil.

Either the cable outer is kinked or the inner cable is sticking and needs greasing. Attack it with oil/grease via the gearbox end.

Hi

Usually means the sign of imminent cable failure. They do wear on their corners and then snatch on the spigot at the back of the Dial or at their takeoff drive or the inside of the outer cable.

A replacment should cure the problem
