Hi I'm just about to do the very same thing. I read a post by Oldminiman saying that it should be changed every 60k or 6 years, therefore despite mine being changed only 20k ago, the guy had not driven the thing regularly for about 3 years, & it was changed in 2003, so I thought better safe than (eternally) sorry. I finally ordered the parts from Milners, with the aid of their ever-helpful Matthew, & the genuine kit (belt, tensioner, idler bearing) was £161; bought filter kit, PAS belt & alternator belt as well, all for less than £200 with postage. It should be noted that I didnt pay vat as I'm registered as a business here, but even so, a very good price I thought. My mate here is a 4x4 mechanic & he said if this engine goes, it goes "big time" (his words not mine) but then he's used to Land Rovers more than the infinitely superior Trak, but I was taking no chances, particularly as I love mine so much
