Daihatsu F20/Fourtrak on ebay, can i have some advice?

HI everyone, this is my first post.

I saw this on ebay, and am a bit confused as to what it is;
i dont really have much knoledge of daihatsus,
but this looks like an f20, but has a G reg plate, so should be a sportrak,
it is also listed as a sportrak.

any help very welcome, also any advice about whether i should buy it!

It's an F20. Definate. You can see the front of the leaf springs in the pictures. It also has the F20 bonnet still. Would hazzard a guess that someone (poss not person selling, though I did mail them and they haven't changed the add) has reclaimed a dissused F20 to make a trials car. Then desided to put it on the road, but alas no V5. No problem bye a junked Sporti for next to nothing. Problem solved, one rung car. It would have been an A reg at the youngest (Poss B as a few made it out of the showroom on that, but not many). May be earlier. I am not saying it is a bed car. Looks very good. But it is illegal at the moment. However for a fee DVLA would probably re-issu the V5 that goes with it (assuming it wasn't stolen many years ago...).

In the end i didnt buy it, it sounds too dodgy, and also the seller wasnt very eager to respond to my more detailed questions... e.g. wouldnt tell me how many miles it had done.

Yes, fully agree with Nev K, apart from the bodywork items such as the steering wheel give it away.
