Hey,
I'm wanting to put a snorkel on my 90 reg 2.8turbo fourtrak but having the same problem as every other fourtrak enthusiast because nowhere is selling kits specifically for them yet! I'm off to an off road course in a month and want a snorkel sorted, does anyone know if i can modifiy a Safari snorkel of something from like a Landy, or could anyone send some detailed pictures of a DIY job?

Easiest one to purchase and modify is the Toyota Hi-Lux one, these are similar in profile to the Fourtrak, and require the least modifications of any i've fitted.
These are available at a reasonable price from a variety of outlets, and will require modifications to the underbody pipework for Daihatsu.

From the pics it looks like a nice bit of kit. How did you fix the up pipe to the windscreen pillar ???. Any problems with passenger door opening ??

i used the standard wall
i used the standard wall bracket, just leave out the wall mounting bit, simple drill and bolt into gutter drain then with a small spacer and the door opens no problems
