The cuore shared the 850 engine but both the cars are a long time out of import so your local breaker might just have a working unit but some cuore came with a turbo charged 650 and others ran a 998 three cylinder.

The Perodua engine might fit and give you a modest performance boost over the original 850. Although if you can get the parts rebuilding the original motor might be a reasonable option and a slightly more adventurous cam would possibly make progress less slothe like.

The original car was a woeful piece of automotive product and I do wonder if it is worth the effort other than as a learning project...I spent rather too much trying to get a Reliant Ant pick-up into usable condition so know about iffy motoring lemons.
