Has anyone fit a pull stop in place of the stop solenoid?

Forum:

I had the wire break off the stop solenoid on the VE pump strand me for 2 hours by the road this weekend until I figured it out. Has anyone fit a cable pull fuel stop? Care to share how?

Pulled

Easy, remove the pump to remove the stop solonoid, replace with a cable stop type, they simply screw in.
Fit a cable and send through to the cab and locate in a suitable position, suggested cables to use would be choke cables as these are available in universal kits in various lengths.

Ones i have fitted have been for the good old 2.8 which have been marinised for marine use, and on odd occasions for static applications.

This seems a lot of work to replace what is a substantial fuel shut off solonoid.
