Forum:
some kind (r)sole has pulled the windscreen washer jet off my hijet. i've bought a replacement part - non standard - but can't for life of me work out how to get into the pipe work to connect it all together. i've tried removing front panel, glove box, dial surround and stereo/heater slide surrounds but none of these have been any help. please tell me i don't have to remove the entire dash?????
at the mo, my only other option appears to be fishing around through the hole in the 'bonnet' until i can get hold of the pipework and then gluing the replacement jet into place.
thanks for any advice given. oh nearly forgot. its the 1.3 efi pickup version on a 2000 plate.
Cheers

Anyone have instructions for removing the dashboard?
Only the "cover" bit of my washer jets has popped off. If I could disassemble the new jet, I could just slip it over the existing pipe which is still protruding from the bonnet, but it seems to be firmly stuck together.

Hi glen,
I didn't have anyone remove my jet, a nozzle/jet came out and soaked everyone walking past me. Whilst I had the head/cam done on the engine I got the dealer to replace it and it is not simple apparently. They moved the dashboard to get to the back of the jet before it can be replaced.
Hi glen.. I think you should
Hi glen.. I think you should consult a windshield company that can help you on your windshield washer jet because you tend to spend more sometimes, when you do trial and error all by yourself. Irvine auto glass
can you get to the pump? if
can you get to the pump?
if so, buy new hoses and by-pass all the existing hoses, to the pump and then in to the water resivour. if you cant get to the pump. why not use a new one? disconnecting the old one maybe the hard bit.
