No direct knowlage, but am sure someone on here said that the basic engine is the same, but the clutch is smaller. Presumably it follows that the flywheel is diffrent. Try putting clutch and sportrak into the site serch feture?

not good
just to let people who maybe sourcing engines for sportraks i got an second hand inj one from ebay year unknown fitted clutch lifted it in etc and after lot of wiggling / pushing/ levering for hours it just wouldnt fit so back out checked clutch splines etc witch was the same as new clutch then relised that my g reg carbed engine had a brass sleeve in the end of the crank but the new one had a bearing in it and the internal die ment the clutch shaft was over sized by about 2mm so was like square peg round hole just wondering if any one else has come across this major prob with these engines

Did you change the input
Did you change the input shaft over on the gearbox? Simple job on the 4trak, not sure how much digging would be required on the Sporti.
