Opening off road routes in the Peak District

Forum:

For some time the Peak District national Park Authority have been monitoring the use of off road routes, previously closed by the NERC bill in 2006. They are suffering from overuse of current routes and are looking at the possibility of opening a number of them up.

In keeping with the guidelines they have to consult with ALL USER GROUPS and are doing so, this is where you can all help. Currently, the vociferous Ramblers Association are shouting loudly, and making themselves heard in not allowing vehicular access, something detrimental to us all.

To make your voice heard all we have to do is E-mail the PDNPA and Derbyshire CC to ensure we have our voices heard, and get a number of previously closed routes opened. There is a financial case for this, it costs a fortune to repair overused lanes, and if there are more lanes opened it means the traffic is spread over many more routes, so contact them and make your opinion count.

Offroad routes in the Peak District

Hi Assassin.

Can you post some links to the PDNPA and Derbyshire CC, this may help having the voice of 4x4 users heard.

Any one one responding to this please remenber to use moderation in communication with the recipients, but also make your point clear and loud, as we need to be heard !!! but not to be abusive !!
