front recovery point on a sportrak!!!!!!

Forum:

if i am stuck on the beach, and i need to be pulled out forwards, is it ok to just tie a rope thru the eyelet bit under the bumper, near the sump guard, or should i be looking at doing something else!!!!?

thanks

If you have to use the larger

If you have to use the larger ring, if you lie on your back and look up one will be a rather hefty affair, that bolts directly to the chassis.
That is the one you want to use, my advise is to have it already attached, so IF you need it you can be pulled out quickly, as last thing you want is to get your Sporty sailing away.

I had a hairy moment when recovering a boat, just cos the people were too lazy to pull it out I had to back up to get it. The tyres on the trailer dug in, and I had my rear wheels doing the same had to unhitch and rock her out. Just managed to do it and had a crowd watching by then, and only just rocked her out. Then back at 45 degrees, and managed to get her out quickly.

If in doubt leave it alone, or get out and walk it!!

Mud makes excellent Toothpaste.

thanks, i will have a look

thanks, i will have a look tonight,
i might have to find a big ubolt fixing, so i can use that quickly.!!

Look in the "how it works

Look in the "how it works section" i have written a section on chasis mods.

You will require a large plate with a substantial eye for pulling, and a sandwich plate inside the chassis to spread the load.
