Hi,
Does anybody have a suggestion for the easiest way to drain the fluid from the power steering system on my Elxi.Its getting tired and I don't think it could hurt.

Remove the feed pipe from the reservoir to the pump to drain the reservoir, then remove on or both pipes ends on the steering ram to drain these.

Refill the reservoir with fluid, give it a few minutes to settle and fill up again, jack up the front wheels and start the engine. Turn the wheels to full lock in both directions several times then check the fluid level and top up. Repeat this again.
