Forum:
yesterday i mowed the lawn.. including the bits down the side of our gravel drive.. then i noticed the passenger door window on the fourtrak was shattered... looks like a direct hit bang in the centre of the glass , there was a half inch piece of gravel in the footwell which may have been the culprit.
anyway weve had this f reg truck (burgundy over grey) for abot 6 years , previous owner had fitted a rust spattered green wing and door after meeting a slow moving skip, anyway ive dragged the c reg parts department out of the bramble patch decided it was quicker to change the whole door rather than trying to change the glass... so now we have a burgundy over grey with a ns green front wing and a slate grey over silver ns door. funny thing is the teenage kids refuse to be seen in it. as the bonnet has a couple of rust spots and peeling lacquer im tempted to go the whole hog and fit the full set of both front doors both wings and bonnet, bound to look better than it does now.
im sure the police car that followed me round a couple of roundabouts the other day was on the radio checking we were legal .
Spares Dept !!!
Hi.
Well they will not want to borrow it it for a night out !!.I have seen a small jelly mould car that has every panel a different colour, not sure how they would describe it in the log book, no advertising ,so its not for a paint shop !!. So good to have your own parts dept, I also have a Fourtrak for this purpose.

I saw an old morris pick-up last week, yellow tailgate, orange wing, red bonnet, green wing, blue door ect I guess when parts are rare you can't be picky to keep the old girl on the road
Agree
My greenhouse bears wittness to my strimmer use. For work I have insurance for this hazard

Was the jelly mold a VW?
Was the jelly mold a VW? Polo I think. They call it a Harliquine. And yes it comes from the factory like that. Each delership in the country were given two to shift. I thought they were ment to be like a life size color chart at first, but apparently not...
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
