It is a strange question with no right or wrong answer, most are mainly assembled in Japan. Once they reach their target market they are often finished in that country, or final works such as programming the systems occurs.

Many of the smaller Daihatsu's are "common denominator vehicles" which means they share major components with other vehicles. Floorpans may be the result of collaboration with other companies which results in them being used for several vehicles by more than one manufacturer. Many other sub assemblies are manufactured in other countries, one model has its complete rear subframe and suspension made in Thailand, while all its electrics and electronic systems are manufactured in the Phillipines. Its body panels are made in China and Canada, while its glass is made here in the UK.
