If your neasresr Daihatsu dealer is 60 miles away do not get upset, walk into the nearest Toyota dealership and ask for part 04152-40060 . It is said to fit all petrol engines and I can confirm that with 1.0 litre. The fitting intrustions are on the package. They will also be able to help with sump washers for aygo/yaris 2 which fit us as well.
This info is about the cartridge type oil filter.
I did not use daihatsu/toyota tool - just my good old lazer filter wrench - metal strip and screw type.
I wonder if the scrape yard can help with a screw-on filter adapter from yaris2 or aygo to avoid this messy business altogether?
