Forum:
when cold car is a bugger to start, once running runs well, litle flat spot and 2,000 rpm, but when carb fully warmed up, after 50, 60 miles it starts to idle like crap and if in 4l it drags the revs down so much it stalls,
i thought it could be the float chamber, or maybe the needle valve, just hoped someone has had and sorted the issue i am having!
p.s had new fuel line, and manual fuel pump, and fuel filter, and the car is cb not efi!
thank you
wish i could help but dont
wish i could help but dont have that carb.
My first port of call would have been fuel filter - if you changed it take it out of line alltogether and try it - cos your truck was stood for so long you may have stirred up a load of rubbish and blocked the filter already.
I couldnt get mine to run either and had to take it to a carb specialist for a clean out
cheers
Rob

With a carb it is often better to have it reconditioned by an expert, that way you know it is like new with all new parts. Had one recently where the by pass was partially blocking as debris was sloshing about as the vehicle moved.
