Its a spring chicken, my F20

Its a spring chicken, my F20 is 32 years old and never failed an MOT in 21 years. It just shows it is condition rather than age with these vehicles.

People ask why i do not get rid of it????

My '93 Trak is due its MOT in

My '93 Trak is due its MOT in a couple of weeks. I hope to have the same good fortune! I'm taking the precaution of having some rust cut out and patched (sill near to seat belt anchor and rear wheel arch.
Its the emissions that worry me.....are the Traks usually OK with this is?

Not unless they are in poor

Not unless they are in poor mechanical condition. Put some injection cleaner through the system one month before the MOT test to give it time to work and burn off any deposits. Service the vehicle just before the MOT so it has fresh oil and a clean air filter.

On the day of the test set out early and give it a good run of at least 20 miles to ensure it is good and hot. Once thoroughly hot ensure you rev the engine several times to near the red line, this will remove soot deposits from the exhaust, and go straight to the test. Insist the emissions are tested with the vehicle fully hot, which is obviously straight away.
