just spent about 4 hours replacing the rad on the wifes megane.... got to shift bits of aircon and power steering out the way, and the bonnet slam panel.... found the aircon rad was cable tied to the front of the water rad.... the jagged broken mounting brackets on the aircon rad had eaten theit way into the water rad.... ive remounted it with the brackets bent out the way and bits of old top hose as spacers where the two rads touch.

least with the rads out i could see the leaking joint in the ps hoses... replaced the stupid spring clip with a jubilee..

as the electric cooling fan hasnt ever cut in i decided to fit a switch accross the temp switch in the rad so it can be turned on manually.... xcept the switch has 4 wires going to it instead of the 2 you would expect... haynes manual shows 2 wires....told the missus she can forget a newer car... shes been using the fourtrak all week... i reckon the extra diesel it uses would be less than the garage bills to keep a newer electronic gizmo laden machine on the road
