Hi all
I wanted a 4x4 this winter to be able to get to see my girlfriend who lives 55 miles away cross country. I struggled a wee bit last year with my Toyota avensis and decided this year that I needed a better snow-beater.
I saw a 91 fourtrack dx commecial advertised locally and went to look at it. It was clean and tidy and drove really well. The owner wanted

The guy seemed genuine enough, but I suppose you never really can tell. I did think it was strange though, that's why I wondered if they were sought after or something?
Fourtraks are actually rising
Fourtraks are actually rising in price, this is because of their off road capability and reliability, and their dwindling numbers. Demand is high as the only credible alternative for a basic and reliable workhorse is Land Rover, and everyone knows about their unreliability.
With winter coming, and a predicted bad winter with lots of snow the seasonal trend is for 4X4's generally to rise in price. This trend applies to many vehicles such as higher prices for convertibles in summer.
It would appear you have a good vehicle at a good price, and the elements are conspiring with you.
ebay prices
im always looking on ebay at fourtrak and suzuki sj jeeps, prices are going through the roof, my mate was gonna buy a local sj soft top at the weekend, it was old, no mot or tax, rusty yet it made about 500 quid, these vehicles are getting rarer, but motors of this age an time are phenomenally reliable and everyone wants them now for off roading as the sport has taken off like a rocket, if anyone ever gets a fourtrak cheap my advise is flog it on ebay, youll make money.
