Is it worth fitting +2"
Is it worth fitting +2" shocks on a standard set up?? Would this give More droop or do you loose it in compression. Are the pro comp worth the money over milners ones I do intend to do a fair bit of off Roading cheers
hub problems
hi starlo im having a similar problem i put my fourtrak in 4wd and im gettin no drive to the front wheels.
my other fourtrak has died and this one is a new purchase so iv not had chance to work threw it yet.
i did replace the discs on the front wheels last week and when i looked inside the hub there was something inside broken a little bit, would this stop the wheels driving
i tried to spin the wheels on ice and only the back wheels drove in 4wd all wheels should drive the same im guessing
any help would be great.
iv also got the age old problem of the second gear being a bitch when coming down the box.
the joys of car ownership.
I'm no expert by any means,
I'm no expert by any means, but what I found with mine was that the break spring had snapped a tab the the end allowing the hub to rotate to far round damaging the other tab and the cam on the hub itself. As the hubs do not lock this causes the loss of four wheel drive as I found out stuck in a small hole, as for fixing it's relatively simply if you can find some springs. Daihatsu wanted
thanks for that ill give it a
thanks for that ill give it a shot and see how i get on like anything else once i get it stripped out im sure the problem will jump out and hit me.
yep i would go for new manual
yep i would go for new manual hubs and procomps but first take the one that broke back as it should be under guarantee so you should get a new one.
to see what size shocks you can fit you need to flex the suspension and see how much room you have between the 2 mounts when the spring is fully compressed and on the bump stops then you can get a shock that has a closed length about half a inch shorter so you have a bit left over to stop the shock bottoming out on its self and thats not good.
see dave at bllodredoffroad for procomps,he will help you out with what you need

Right fixed free hub it was
Right fixed free hub it was the break spring replaced this with one I pulled out aof a fourtrak also damaged the brass cam replaced this as well now seem to work ok! Will see for how long. Spoke to dave at blood red (very helpful) and have a set of +2 pro comp shocks on the way. He's informed me these can be fitted on a standard system and will give more droop. So hopefull all should be well by the weekend
