distribution cambelt/chain

Hello daihatsu owners
I am new to daihatsu and have just bought a 1994 fourtrak but am not sure if the engine will need cambelt at some point or if it has a chain. could someone advise. also are there any problems with this model that I should be aware of. thanks

It has a cam belt which should be changed every 60000 miles or 5 years whichever comes first. Takes about 2 hours.

i normally get all my bits n bobs from milner off road, unfortunately they dont sell the cambelt kit, you have to try another dealer, dont go through daihatsu, these kits are expensive enough, over £100 easy, they will charge more, the whole tensioner pulley kit was fitted on mine at 132,000, then 60,000 miles later i just fitted the belt instead, it takes twenty mins for just that part.

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!
