transfer box

Forum:

i think drive chain is jumping in transfer box on sportrak is there any way of adjusting them or is it a new chain jobby? any advice appreciated. cheers

no actual experience of this

no actual experience of this problem but unless you can replace chain in situ and its very cheap i think i would go for a s/h unit as by the time you remove it , strip it, and try and repair it you coul;d easily spend a lot of money/time on it.

i know where theres one

im sure kirk wont notice it missing Smile lol

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

Probably no adjustment

I know nothing about the Sportrak, but I had a quick look in the Fourtrak / Sportrak workshop manual I have - it shows a complete strip down of the transfer box - it doesn't appear that there is any adjustment on the chain drive.

I can email a section of the manual if you want to PM (Private Message) me with your email address - the pdf document is about 2MB.
