Posh seats

They look very comfortable and supportive Jon. Now you know how to fit these Recaros, tell us what type they are so we can look around for some ourselves.

Can you confirm that they are back-to-front, height and rake adjustable?

Can you also confirm that they came with all these adjustments in their sub-frame and that you just had to adapt the fixings?

Do they work ok with the existing seatbelts and buckle docks?

Info about the Recaros

Tony seemingly as you have asked Smile

The Seats are from a Mitsubishi Evo 8, adapted for a Toyota Glanza. The feet on the rails had already been modified with Glanza feet with bolts. The hard work I had to do was take the seats out of my car and with a drill and many hours later Sad drilled off the feet from our frames and fitted these to the Reacaro frame. Smile

The seats are like any normal car seat, the only thing missing is a height adjuster, they move back and forth and the back can be adjusted but without the memory seat lever ours has, but you can adjust them more upright compared to the standard seats. These seats will make you sit lower down. Oh and you need to be on slightly skinny side to fit in them Wink

The buckle docks have to be changed with teh ones off ours, but it's a straight swap as ours will bolt on to replace the original Smile

Hope that answers your questions? Wink

Posh seats

Thanks for all that Jon.

I was hoping you could identify them with a Recaro type name or number so we could get full details from the Recaro website. You must have really taken a flyer with your money when you bought them on spec.

Without height adjustment (for small wife) they would not be suitable for us unfortunately.

Although you tactfully tried to disguise it, I noticed with deep pain to the bone your allusion to the porcine dimensions of my butt which would also make the seat unsuitable for me. Wonder if Recaro make bus seats?

Very nice Jon, a dramatic

Very nice Jon, a dramatic improvement over the rather unsupportive standard items. What you doing with the old ones? Tony?

Cheers. Still need to adjust

Cheers. Still need to adjust the seats a little more Sad only noticed they look a bit lobsided Smile the drivers leans to the right and the passenger leans to the left. Another job on the horizon Sad

As for the original seats. The drivers is a bit of a mess as I experimented with removing the sliders etc.. the passenger faired better, but got a few scrapes when having ago to remove the feet off the frame Sad Up for grabs if anyone wants them Smile
