Seems I have posted my problem in the wrong section so try again..1997 2.8TDX fourtrak..Changing up from 1st to 2nd is not really smooth it sometimes just nicks..Coming back down from 3rd is OK..Read on here about a nut on a shaft often cures this fault if its loose..Different opinions on this as some say it cannot be done unless the transfer box is split??..Anyone got the answer?TIA
