electrical problem

Forum:

just recently the 15amp fuse for the tail lights etc. keeps blowing. Sometimes after 2 or 3days or perhaps 2 or 3 weeks. I've had a check around the system but nothing seems to be amiss. Has anyone had a similar problem, or any suggestions as to the cause. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

have you trailer lights?

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

Had a similar problem many

Had a similar problem many years ago, lights would fuse periodically, but with no apparent pattern. I then found out it was only when i went round a right hand bend at speed, which we could in those days, so narrowed it down.

Eventually it was traced to an accessory wire under the dash, when i went round the bend at speed it was enough to short it to the metal dash support bracket.
