hi there i have the 1992 fourtrak f75 daihatsu, i took it into dundee today, the gearbox started to make a (gear mesh moving) noise, in 1st 2nd 3rd and then in fourth it pops out! under load not so bad but when coming into a corner it disengages!? fith is whiney as hell also, i have bought some new gearbox oil, it was ok untill we went away for a week just gone and now after it sitting its doing this! i think there must be a slight leak somewear but i never thought it would progress to this? anyone had any experience in this fun, noisy topic? i have looked into the other posts on fourums and i hope that i dont have as much of a messy job on my hands as the others! this is our main car also we live in the mountains and have two kids, i have stopped usin the car temporarily so there is a slight sense of urgency!

best thing to do is buy
best thing to do is buy another gearbox, dont forget its 20 yrs old and may not have always been used properly, find one on ebay, the independant one will fit too, funnily enough theres an f75 on my drive awaiting another box.
Full of ideas but no time to do them!!
